Your Last Chance at the Beaches
Summer is just about over so it’s now or never if you’re visiting and want to experience some of the area’s beaches. It is the Great Lakes, after all, and you shouldn’t be heading home without first pushing your toes into our famous sugar sand and sharing a romantic walk along the miles of coastline. Check out these beaches and plan your trip to these sandy, freshwater oases. Don’t forget... you’re always welcome to stay in and just enjoy that breathtaking view we have right from the Huron House.
Three Mile Beach
One of only a handful of Michigan beaches to be virtually left untouched in their natural condition, Three Mile Beach offers miles (go figure) of sugar sand that is great for some long walks and good talks. It also offers privacy, being located far enough from town to avoid overcrowding. You can find Three Mile Beach a few miles north of Oscoda.

Shoreline Park
You won’t have to travel far for this one. Situated at the mouth of the Au Sable River as it empties into Lake Huron, Shoreline Park is Oscoda’s go-to beach for any water lover. Beautiful sand and picnic pavilions make this a convenient and relaxing stop that always calls for a stop at Au Sable Ice Cream along the way.
