Sunrise Side Wine, Brew and Food Festival
The perfect event for our guests who are wine and beer enthusiasts is the annual Sunrise Side Wine, Brew & Food Festival, held the third Saturday in July in Harrisville. Located about 17 miles north of Oscoda, the festival features fine wines from Michigan wineries, locally crafted beer, delectable foods from area restaurants, live music, and an art show. This year’s festival is July 17, 2021, from noon to 6 p.m. under the Big Tent at the Harrisville Harbor.
More than 15 Michigan wineries and four breweries will be on hand to showcase their finest beverages for you to sample. With great live music and local food, it's the perfect afternoon date. With admission, guests receive a souvenir festival glass and get to enjoy a great festival along the sparkling shores of Lake Huron. From its location at the top of the hill, the festival overlooks the harbor, which offers a spectacular backdrop for this fun, summertime event.
The Sunrise Side Wine, Brew and Food Festival is a longstanding tradition, hosted by the Alcona County Chamber of Commerce for the first time back in 1994. In the 27 years since, the festival has grown and now draws crowds to enjoy the wine, beer, food, art, jazz and a breathtaking view of Lake Huron. Vintners say this has become the best tasting event in all of Michigan! Come see and taste for yourself.
