Open for Business: Tawaste Yoga Studio
You’ve heard the word before but what does it really mean? Formed from a combination of two Sanskrit words that translate to ‘I bow to you,’ namaste is a meaningful greeting or salutation of respect that expresses acknowledgment from one soul to another. In other words, the phrase is used as a way to recognize another person’s spirit and is often spoken while the palms are pressed together at the center of your chest. This is where your heart chakra is located.
Almost exactly one year ago, the Tawas Yoga Tribe formed and they just recently opened the area’s first yoga studio, Tawaste (rhymes with namaste). Whether you’re a namaste newbie or a master meditator, take a break from, well… everything, and attend a workshop at Tawaste. Services include yoga, massage, and meditation. Learn the fundamentals of focused breathing, stretching, and the various poses. Besides the obvious feel-good energy, you’ll be leaving with, yoga provides numerous physical and mental health benefits. Stronger muscles, more flexibility, and increased cardio and circulatory health are only a few. And because there are so many different kinds of yoga, anyone can start learning, even a couch potato.
But I’ll leave any further instruction and spiritual information to the professionals at Tawaste. Get more information on the Tawas Yoga Tribe’s Tawaste Yoga Studio here.
