Huron Snowmobile Trail
Oscoda is the eastern gateway to Michigan’s snowmobile trail and at the Huron House, your location couldn’t be any better. If you’re an outdoor adventurer, thrill-seeker, or winter sports fanatic, Oscoda is the town for you this season. The Huron Snowmobile Trail connects to hundreds of miles of trails across the state with five possible trailheads in Iosco County alone. Take your pick, gear up, and get ready for your snowmobile adventure!
Grass Lake Road Trailhead: Located in Oscoda, about a mile to a mile and a half west on River Road make a left for the Grass Lake Parking Area.
Tawas Area Trailhead: Before Camel Road, off Monument Road on the left.
Sand Lake Area Trailhead: Near KJ’s Restaurant off Esmond Road and Indian Lake Road.
Liberty Road Trailhead for Huron Trail: North of Hale off M-65 and Wickert Road
Old State House Trail: Runs west from downtown Oscoda, parallel to Bissonette Road, eventually connecting to many more miles of snowmobile trails in Alcona County.
